MyLebPass
The brief

They needed a mobile experience that could make a paid membership feel worth it from the first use, turning a list of partner venues into something people open before deciding where to go.

The problem

A discount pass only works if people remember it exists and can use it without friction at the counter.

01
Members have to believe a yearly fee will pay for itself before they have used the pass even once.
02
Redemption happens in public, at a till, with people waiting — it has to take seconds, not menus.
03
Offers spread across venue types and towns are hard to browse when they are presented as one long list.
The approach

Designed the pass around the two moments that actually matter: deciding where to go, and redeeming once you are there.

Browsing is organised by venue type and area, so the catalogue reads like somewhere to go tonight rather than a directory to search. Redemption is a single screen holding the member's QR code, reachable in one tap from anywhere in the app. The value of the membership is kept visible rather than buried in a settings page: what each venue offers, and what the pass has saved so far, sit alongside the browsing experience so the fee keeps justifying itself.

Outcome
Worth It Upfront

Savings are shown against the membership price, so the pass proves its value early instead of asking for faith.

Outcome
Two-Tap Redemption

The QR code is never more than a tap away, so using the pass at a counter is quicker than explaining it.

Outcome
Browsable, Not Searchable

Venues are grouped by type and area, so members can choose somewhere without already knowing what they want.

What shipped

A membership people actually open.

Digital Pass
One QR code that works across every partner venue, with no codes to remember.
Venue Catalogue
Partner restaurants, cafés, and lifestyle spots grouped by category and area.
Offers & Savings
What each venue gives members, and what the pass has saved them so far.
Looking back

The hard part of a discount product is not the discount.

It is being present at the moment someone decides where to go, and effortless at the moment they pay. Both are interface problems more than pricing problems.
